Letter to the Editor: Havre has it – Sometimes it's just hidden

Editor:

If you want to experience a little glimpse of Italy in your own backyard it can be found at 603 3rd Ave., at Nonna’s Coffee House. I called Leann after seeing an ad in the Havre Daily News to schedule a Christmas party for a small group of friends.

She was so thrilled at the opportunity to help us out that I get caught up in the excitement of trying something new in Havre. Leann offered us five entrée choices — just to keep everyone happy.

Upon our arrival at Nonna’s, we were seated and the food began to appear. First came the Italian nachos, then salad, bread and our chosen entrée, and we finished our Italian feast with a delectable dessert.

Leann explained to us that she imports many of her cooking oils from Sicily.

It was so nice to have an authentic Italian meal. The evening was very special and the food was awesome.

We could tell how much she enjoyed not only cooking for us but also seeing our reaction to the wonderful tastes we were experiencing.

I would definitely recommend trying the Italian food at Nonna’s, whether it be the luncheon special(s) or actually having an event catered by Leann. You will not be disappointed.
