Emory Dean Small "White Bear" "Wah-pis-ki Mahs-Kwah," 59, of Rocky Boy, passed away, Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls surrounded by family and friends.
Wake services began Friday, Jan. 23, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy, with traditional services starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24. Burial was to follow at the Small Family Cemetery in Parker School.

Emory was born on May 18, 1955, in Fort Belknap to Paul Small Sr. and Leona Blackbird. He graduated from Stone Child College with an associate degree in liberal arts. Education was very important to him.
He enjoyed working with children in Rocky Boy School District for 30 years as a bus driver and tutor. Basketball and hunting were his favorite sports; however, he was up for any challenge. He loved to listen to all Native American church music.
Emory was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Small Sr. and Leona Blackbird; grandparents, Joe Small Jr. and Marie (Alexander) Small; his brothers, Paul Small Jr. and Joseph Small
Emory is survived by his wife, Colleen (Bacon) Small of Rocky Boy; his children, Kyle Small, Michelle Small, Kane (Trudy Bacon) Small and Kate Small, all from Rocky Boy; his stepmother, Ruby Small of Rocky Boy; brother, Gerald (Misty Denny) Small Sr., brother, Direk Small Sr., sister, Joette Small, brother, Clinton (Roberta) Small, sister, Sharlene (John Sutherland) Small, sister, Paulette Small, sister, Vanessa Small, sister, Farrah (Lawrence) Small, bother, Marty (Sunny Wallawitsa) Small, all from Rocky Boy, Jalene (Roland Dixon) Small of Great Falls and David Small of California; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends
