Cecil LaFromboise, Rocky Boy Basketball

The Rocky Boy Stars scored two really big wins this weekend. And they wouldn’t have done it without the efforts of senior Cecil LaFromboise. The 6-5 Lafromboise tortured both the Conrad Cowboys and Havre Blue Ponies this weekend, averaging 27 points and 12 rebounds over two games. LaFromboise scored 23 points Friday night against Conrad, then he tallied 29 points and 14 rebounds in Saturday night’s 90-72 victory over the Blue Ponies in Rocky Boy. Morgan Mazurkiewicz, Havre Basketball

It’s no surprise that Havre High senior Morgan Mazurkiewicz is having the season she’s having on the basketball court. And she just keeps rolling. Mazurkiewicz, a three-sport standout at HHS, and a four-year starter for the Pony girls, scored a game-high 20 points in a crucial 61-52 Blue Pony win over Browning Friday night in Havre. She added a team-high 13 points in Havre’s tough, 48-40 win over Rocky Boy Saturday night. Mazurkiewicz also excels in cross country and softball at the Havre High.
