Skylights beat Carroll at the end; Lights fall to Saints in OT

The Montana State University-Northern women's basketball team defeated Carroll College 50-48 in a nationally-ranked showdown Thursday night in Helena. The No. 11 Skylights broke a 48-48 tie with the No. 19 Fighting Saints when A'Jha Edwards put back a Taylor Cummings miss with :02 left in the contest.

Northern improved to 3-0 in the Frontier Conference and 19-1 overall. The Skylights play at Rocky Mountain College Saturday night.

Also on Thursday night, the MSU-Northern men fell to an 0-3 start in conference play. The Lights lost 89-83 to Carroll College in overtime in Helena.
