Havre Area Chamber of Commerce
The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce's Christmas Cash program continues to make a positive economic impact during the holiday season.
Seven million dollars has stayed in Havre since the Christmas Cash program was organized in 1990 by a group of business leaders looking at a way energize the local shopping during the holidays.
A total of $148,000 in Christmas Cash circulated through participating Chamber-member businesses this holiday season. Using a conservative turn of three, $444,000 impacted the local economy.
Coupling the impact of Christmas Cash with the Chamber’s Gift Certificate Program, $471,000 stayed local, supporting local businesses.
“These two Chamber programs have a significant impact on our economy,” said Debbie Vandeberg, the Chamber's executive director.
The Board of Directors and participating Chamber-member businesses believe both programs play a definite economic roll in the community and take great pride in the positive impact the Chamber Gift Certificate Program and Christmas Cash have on local business.
