Lesly Angstman-Miller, 58, died from complications of quadriplegia Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington.
Cremation took place under the direction of Spokane Cremation and Funeral Service. A family memorial service will be held in Spokane with a burial in Havre, Montana, at a later date.
Lesly was born in Havre on April 2, 1956. She was the third of four children born to Paul and Peggy Angstman. Lesly was raised in Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1974.
In the spring of 1990 Lesly graduated from Northern Montana College of Nursing. She worked in Great Falls for Columbus Hospital. Tragically in the summer of 1990 Lesly became a quadriplegic and had to leave her beloved state of Montana for advanced medical care in Washington.
Lesly leaves behind her daughter, Samantha (Christopher) Hill; and her siblings, Tom (Jan) Angstman, Greg (Mary) Angstman, and Jeannie (Brian) Farmer. Also surviving Lesly are her grandchildren, Liam, Laila and Asher.
Lesly was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Lesly had a courageous spirit and a determination unmatched by any other. She lived with the sole purpose of seeing her daughter grow up and served as an example to others with her physical disability.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation in Lesly's name be made to Autism Society of America, 4340 East West Highway Suite 350
