Havre Police Department

An officer making a motor vehicle stop, after reporting at 11:09 p.m. Friday that a driver in a pickup truck was driving away from him, arrested Cody James Meltzian, 23, of Havre on charges of fleeing from or eluding a peace officer, a stop sign violation, careless driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants and basic rule violation.

An officer investigated a report made at the police department at 12:29 p.m. Saturday that someone had broken into a vehicle Friday night and taken some items.

An officer investigated a call from a 1st Street West restaurant at 5:41 p.m. Saturday reporting a two-vehicle, non-injury vehicle crash.

An officer assisted a man who called at 6:22 p.m. Saturday reporting his cat was missing and he found it on the Havre online yard sale.

After a caller from 9th Street at 7:25 p.m. Saturday complained about a dog getting into his yard, an officer issued a summons to Brian G. Gilmarten, 74, on a charge of dog at large.

An officer investigated a report made from a 1st Street gas station at 9:29 p.m. Saturday that someone had driven off without paying for their gasoline.

After a caller from a 2nd Street location at 11:31 reported someone had tried to push open her door, an officer arrested Mark Allen Sutherland, 26, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Responding to a call from 2nd Street at 9:37 a.m. Sunday, an officer arrested Kimberle Rose Krutzfeld, 52, on a charge of partner or family member assault.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

A deputy making a motor vehicle stop at 8:40 p.m. Friday east of Havre issued a summons to a Havre girl, 13, on a charge of minor in possession of intoxicants.

After the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance, a Hill County deputy arrested Glenn Kurtis Hall, 28, of Browning on a Justice or City court warrant.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Saturday and three Sunday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held a male black, white and tan mixed-breed heeler; a female brown, black and white mixed-breed terrier; a male black and white husky, and a female black, white and tan mixed-breed pug.

A boy was born to Martha and Mike Kleinsasser of Havre Dec. 26, 2014.
