Gas prices drop for Christmas travel

Town Pump is selling regular gas at a price of $2.25 a gallon, making it the cheapest in town currently, according to reports from http://www.montanagasprices.com. Sinclair, Conoco and Holiday come in second with $2.29 a gallon.

Montana's average price is $2.358. The cheapest gas in the state is in Billings at $2.05 and $2.07 a gallon, and Lame Deer comes in third with $2.11 a gallon.

The U.S. average has been dropping since July of this year, from an average of $3.65 down to $2.36.

The cheapest gas in the nation can be bought in Missouri, followed by Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. The cheapest gas in the nation, however, is in the Tulsa, Oklahoma region.
