Obituary - Vina Derbyshire

Vina Derbyshire, 76, passed away Dec. 8, at home in Shoreline, Washington, after a three-year battle with ovarian cancer. Born Jan. 10, 1938 to Frederich and Rosina (Zahn) Buchholz, in Dodson, Montana, she moved to Seattle from Havre, Montana, in 1964. She loved playing women's softball when she was young and was an avid gardener and reader.

Vina loved children and placed emphasis on education. She is survived by husband, Howard; children John (Kristi), Donald (Kris) Christopherson, Theresa Lynn, Connie Dobbs, Kelly (Aubrey) Hale, Erin (Kevin) French and Deena Derbyshire; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Raymond; extended family; and friends.

There will be no services per Vina's wishes. She will be interred at Evergreen-Washelli in Seattle. Memorials may be made to ovarian cancer research or Lupus Foundation.
