For the second time this season, and the fourth time in her career, Montana State University-Northern senior A'Jha Edwards has been honored by the Frontier Conference.
Edwards was named Frontier Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Edwards and the Skylights went a perfect 3-0 over the weekend, beating Willamette University, Multnomah Bible College and Walla Walla University on consecutive nights on the road last weekend.
In the three wins, Edwards averaged 20.3 points and nine rebounds per game. From the field, she was 26-of-35 (74 percent) and 9-of-12 from the free throw line.
The 6-5 senior from Tuscon, Arizona, twice scored 21 points over the weekend and had a pair of double-doubles as the Skylights improved to a sparkling 14-0 on the year.
Montana Tech's Paul Engstrom was named Men's Player of the Week.
Engstrom is a 6-7 junior forward from Medicine Lake, Montana.
Tech went 2-0 over the weekend, beating Northwest Indian College twice 98-56 and 80-73.
He averaged 20.5 points, 10 rebounds, one steal and one assist per game. Engstrom was 18-of-21 from the field (86 percent). From the free-throw-line, he made 4-of-7.
