Ty Hedalen has been promoted to consumer loan officer at Independence Bank.
In addition to his new lending duties, he will transition into the management of the VISA and Escrow Departments for Havre and the five branch locations in Malta, Glasgow, Poplar, Scobey and Conrad. He will also manage the Security Reserve portfolio and Christmas Cash Program in Havre.
Hedalen, who has been with Independence Bank since June 2013, previously served as credit analyst and junior lender.
"Ty has been a great addition to our lending team and we are very pleased to see him take the lead in Consumer Lending," said Karene Faber, senior consumer loan officer at Independence Bank. "His previous work experience, knowledge of our local community and commitment to quality customer service made him a perfect fit for this position."
Prior to joining Independence Bank, Hedalen worked as a due diligence field auditor for private equity firm Red Ridge Finance Group in Chicago.
He is a Havre native and 2011 graduate of the University of Montana where he earned a bachelor's degree in finance.
He said that in his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, golfing, traveling and is proud to be involved with Montana Actors' Theatre.
