On Tuesday afternoon, Marc Mariani landed with his second NFL team. The Chicago Bears announced that they have signed the former Havre Blue Pony, Montana Grizzly and Tennessee Titan to a two-year contract.
After four seasons, one in which he made the Pro Bowl, and two on injured reserve, Mariani was cut by the Titans at the end of the 2014 training camp.
The Bears have struggled in the return game this season, averaging just 22.8 yards on 33 kickoff returns and 6.2 yards on 13 punt returns. In Sunday’s win over the Minnesota Vikings, Chris Williams averaged 14 yards on three kickoff returns and 5.7 yards on three punt returns.
