United Way looks to honor student volunteers

United Way of Hill County

United Way of Hill County recognizes an outstanding student from any middle school, high school or college within Hill County, who has helped advance the common good in our county by giving, advocating and volunteering.

A letter of nomination should include the following criteria:

• Exemplify the spirit of community service

• Make outstanding contributions to the community through volunteer service.

• Demonstrate exceptional commitment, service creativity, cooperation or leadership.

• Serve as a role model for others in their community.

• Inspire others to engage in volunteer service.

• Must not be paid for their activities.

Nominee Information should include:

• Name

• Home address

• Phone

• Nominated by

• Date

• Phone

• Email

Please feel free to add as many pages as necessary, returning the letter of nomination to the United Way of Hill County office at 130 5th Ave. in Havre or mail to United Way of Hill County, PO Box 1131, Havre, MT 59501. Nomination letters may also be emailed to [email protected]. Letters are due Friday, Dec. 19, 2014.

Past student recipients are Corona Sprinkle, Tyler Palmer and Havre High Key Club

Past Community Individual Recipients include Bonnie Bennett, Jerry Bergren, Sue Swan, Tom Rygg and John Ita.
