The uncle of Haley Nicholson, center, made the chess board for her as a  gift. She loaned it to the school for the championship match. The tournament ended Thursday after a week of competition There were four freshmen, six sophomores, three juniors and five seniors competing. When it was all done, it was junior Trenton Parrotte defeating freshman Trey Murphy for the championship.
