Diners gather Nov. 28 in the St. Jude Parish Center during the 2013 Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Organizers of the event are looking for volunteers for this year's free celebration, which for decades has been paid for by an anonymous donor.

Plans are being made for the 2014 Community Thanksgiving Dinner. The dinner is provided free to the entire community by an anonymous donor. The spirit of the dinner is to bring our community together as one big extended family.
Organizers said that in 2013 the people who ran the dinner prepared and served more than 750 meals thanks to the more than 135 volunteers who shared their time and talent.
The 2014 dinner will take place at St. Jude Parish Center at 440 7th Ave.
