Sally Farnham, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and child of God passed away on Oct. 23, 2014. She died in her home surrounded by family after a long and courageous struggle with ovarian cancer.
Sally was born on May 3, 1948, in Malta, Montana. She graduated from Malta High School in 1966 and obtained an associate's degree from Northern Montana College in Havre in 1968. She opened Sally's Beauty Shop in Malta upon graduation.
Sally married Hubert "Hugh" Bartlett in 1972 and moved back to Havre. The couple had two children, Heather and Joshua, before the marriage ended in divorce in 1985. Sally later found and promptly married Robert ("Bob") Farnham, her soul mate, in 1988. Bob had a daughter from his previous marriage, April, whom Sally cherished as her own.
Sally lived for her family. She was a devoted wife to Bob. She became an avid fisherman and enjoyed countless times on the waters with Bob and was even known to out-fish him on many occasions. She relished time with her children and her five grandchildren.
Sally loved to visit with friends and family. She was a devoted Christian and always willing to help those in need. She spent much time and energy making her house a home using her artistic ability and her sewing and gardening skills.
Family and friends will forever miss Sally, her smile that could light up a room, her determination, and her encouraging word.
Sally was preceded in death by her father, Paul Skinner and her baby sister, Marylyn.
She is survived by her mother, Pearl Skinner of Malta; her husband, Robert Farnham of Havre; sister, Patricia (Robert) Fetsch of Great Falls and Yuma, Arizona; brothers, Dennis Skinner of Fort Shaw and Randy (Leya) Skinner of Malta; as well as her children,Heather (Luca) Casparis of Losone, Switzerland, Josh Bartlett (Lauren Corcoran) of Havre, and April (David) Morrison of Napa, California. She is also survived by five grandchildren who loved her dearly, Matteo, 4, and Sofia,1, of Losone, Paul, 10, and Gabriela, 4 months, of Havre and Gavin, 8, of Napa. She is also survived by three aunts, one uncle and countless nephews, nieces, adoptive siblings, children and grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home in Havre at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial donations in Sally's honor can be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Havre and the Crisis Pregnancy center of Havre.
