Justin May, C/J-I Football
Chester/J-I junior Justin May is known as one of the best running backs in Class C football. But what May has done the last two weeks has been nothing short of spectacular. In a win over Great Falls Central Oct. 3, May rushed for 288 yards and scored seven total touchdowns. May rushed for six TDs and scored once on a pass reception in the game against the Mustangs. And last Friday night, he rushed for 188 yards and three more scores as C/J-I trounced Cascade.
May, a basketball standout as well, has rushed for 887 yards and 16 TDs this season.
Dani Wagner, Havre High Volleyball
It was just one win, but it was a big one for the Havre High volleyball team, and HHS junior Dani Wagner had a big night. In Havre’s five-set win last Saturday night over the Class B Conrad Cowgirls, Wagner had one of the best all-around matches of the season. Wagner, who sets, but plays multiple spots in HHS’s rotation, tallied a team-high 12 kills and 18 assists. But she was also stout on defense, totaling 13 digs and 1.5 blocks for the Ponies. Wagner leads the Central A in kills.
Wagner is also a standout in softball and basketball at HHS, earning All-Conference honors in softball as a sophomore.
