Bailey Martin displays the $100 gift certificate from the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce that he won in a drawing at Senior/Parent Night.
Hannah Pepprock and Ashley Williamson also won $100 gift certificates from the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce.
Tuesday night Havre High School hosted Senior/Parent Night.
This was an opportunity for seniors and their parents to learn about post-secondary options and to begin their planning.
We started with a presentation to the general group and then broke out into three sessions spanning topics such as writing a winning scholarship essay, financial aid, academic support for students in college, Apprenticeship opportunities in the trades industries and choosing and getting the job for you.
Presenters included people from Montana State University-Northern, the community at large and the Student Assistance Foundation.
Three $100 Havre Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificates paid for by the HPS Foundation were drawn from among the seniors in attendance. The winners were Hannah Pepprock, Ashlee Williamson, and Bailey Martin.
