The best $10 bucks I've spent all summer was for the tickets to "Sympathy Jones: The New Secret Agent Musical," directed by Audrey Barger and Angela Pratt.
It was wonderfully cast and performed by a tremendously talented group of Havre's youth.
Emily Simonson, as Sympathy Jones, secret agent wanna-be, packed a punch. She sang, danced and even did her own stunts!
She was counterbalanced by the vivacious and vicious villainess in the most deliciously derelict of dresses — Aria Pratt, as Kitty Hawk. She played a very believable super-villain, and her outfit alone made this musical a must-see
To top it all off, the music was live. The backstage orchestra was conducted by the very talented Scott Hamilton, 18 years old. The orchestra provided just the right build-up, tension, and conclusion required of every musical that rates as a first-class act.
Well done to all the cast and crew of this production. Thank you for a night well spent.
