GREAT FALLS - Clifford William Stanley, 59, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Benefis Medical Center in Great Falls of natural causes.
Wake services will began at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and will continue until his traditional funeral, which began at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, also at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Burial will follow in Rocky Boy Cemetery.

Cliff was born on April 16, 1955, in Havre to Joseph and Josephine (Swan) Stanley. He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there. Following his school years, in 1973, he married Doreen Anderson, and their union was blessed with four children. The couple moved to Great Falls, and lived there for 10 years before returning to Rocky Boy. Cliff and Doreen later divorced, but remained friends until Cliff passed. Cliff remained in Rocky Boy until he moved into the Missouri River Manor in Great Falls when he got sick in April.
Cliff was a very social man who enjoyed gambling and traveling. He was a regular attendee of Native American Church meetings and was devout in attending sweats and spiritual ceremonies. Cliff loved to tease.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Stanley, and his sister, Linda May Stanley.
Cliff is survived by his children, Shawna (Kenny Bull Calf) Stanley of Browning, Clifford (Jennifer) Stanley Jr. of Arlington, Washington, and Frankie Stanley and Jarrell (Christie) Stanley, all of Great Falls; his 11 grandchildren; his siblings, Aldin (Vicki) Stanley of Great Falls, Leota Standing Bear of Billings, Theresa Bacon of Rocky Boy, Joanne (Larry Albert) Dearce of Great Falls, Larry Stanley of Rocky Boy and Carl Stanley of Great Falls; his adopted brother, Darrell Chippewa of Great Falls; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family, including his two special cousins Marlene (Larry) Piapot and Arline Arkinson.
