Nationals release their schedule for 2014-15

Hockey season might seem like it’s a long way off, but really, the debut of the Glacier Nationals Tier3 Junior Hockey Club in Havre is just around the corner.

The Nationals, who are moving to Havre from Kalispell for the 2014-15 season, will play 22 home games at the Havre Ice Dome this coming season. The Nationals, who are currently working on putting their roster together and securing host families in Havre, recently released their 2014-15 schedule. Glacier plays in the Pioneer Division of the NA3HL.

The Nationals will make their season debut Sept. 19 in Helena against the Helena Bighorns. One night later, the Nationals will make their highly anticipated home debut as they take on the Great Falls Americans Sept. 20 at the Havre Ice Dome.

The Nationals have a three-game homestand in October, playing back-to-back games against the Yellowstone Quake, as well as hosting the Billings Bulls Oct. 10. Glacier has a four-game homestand in November, facing Billings Nov.1, Helena Nov. 7 and Gillette, Wyoming, Nov. 14-15. The Nationals are also home to take on Helena Nov. 28. In December, Glacier hosts Great Falls Dec. 5 and the Bozeman Ice Dogs Dec. 13-14.

Glacier starts off the new year with four games in January. The Nationals host Yellowstone Jan. 9-10, Great Falls Jan. 16 and Helena Jan. 18. February is a huge month as the Nationals make a push toward the playoffs. They’ll play six of their final eight games of the regular season at the Havre Ice Dome, including Great Falls Feb. 6, Bozeman Feb. 13-14, Billings Feb. 20, Helena Feb. 22 and Billings Feb. 28.
