Blue Pony Football Camp
Havre High head football coach Jason Christenson is offering three different Blue Pony football camps this summer. The High School Camp, open to grades 9-12 will run from June 23-27 at a cost of $55. The Middle School Camp, open to grades 6-8 at a cost of $45, will run June 23-26 and the Lil’ Blue Pony Camp, open to grades 3-5 at a cost of $35, will run June 23-25. Blue Pony Boys Basketball Camp
Havre High head basketball coach Curt Leeds is conducting two boys camps this summer. There is a camp open from grades 8-12 which will run June 9-12. The camp costs $60 per camper, and an additional $40 per sibling. There is also a camp from June 9-12 for grades 3-7. The cost is $40 per camper and $30 for each additional sibling. Registration forms can be picked up at Havre High School.
Havre Bear Paw Wrestling Camp
Scott Filius, head coach of the 9-time state champion Blue Pony wrestling program, is once again conducting the annual Bear Paw Wrestling Camp. The camp will run July 9-12 and is held at the scenic Camp Kiwanis in Beaver Creek Park. The camp is open to wrestlers ages 10-18. Instructors for this year’s camp include Filius, HHS assistant coach Chad Edgar, assistant coach and former Blue Pony state champ Evan Hinebauch, HHS assistant and former Blue Pony state champ Beau LaSalle, Steve Komac, head coach of the Class AA state champion Great Falls High Bison, former Blue Pony, MSU-N standout and current CMR head coach Aaron Jensen, former Blue Pony state champ Kent Pattison, current MSU-N head coach and NAIA national champion Tyson Thivierge and former Blue Pony state champ Duell Stadel. Havre Tennis Camp
Havre High head tennis coach George Ferguson, who has led Blue Pony boys and girls to six different Class A state championships, will once again be offering a summer tennis camp. The camp is set for Aug. 11-12 at the Bill Vaughey Memorial Tennis Courts. Tennis camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 3-12 and cost is $15 per camper and an additional $5 per sibling. Campers will receive a T-shirt and instruction from beginner basics to advanced play with plenty of fun games and prizes as well. For more information, and to sign up, contact Ferguson at 390-4142.
Blue Pony Volleyball Camp
Once again, the Havre High Volleyball Camp will be put on by the Montana Lady Griz volleyball program. The camp is slated for June 26-28 at Havre High School. Registration forms are available at Havre High School, and anyone with questions can contact Havre High head coach Melanie Skoyen at 390-4350.
Lights Basketball Camps
Montana State University-Northern head men’s basketball coach Shawn Huse is conducting three basketball camps this summer. Shooting Camp, open to grades 6-8, will be held June 15-18. Team/Shooting Camp, open to grades 9-12 and high school teams, will be held June 19-21 and Youth Camp, open to grades K-5, will be held June 29-Jule 2. Skylight Volleyball Camps
Montana State University-Northern head volleyball coach Bill Huebsch is holding three different volleyball camps this summer. Huebsch, who led MSU-N to the 2013 Frontier Conference regular season championship, will conduct his annual Team Camp July 18-19. The cost is $300 per team, and teams must have a minimum of eight players. Kids Camp is set for July 21-23 at a cost of $60 per camper and is open to grades 5-8. Skylights Basketball Camps
MSU-Northern head women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat will be conducting three different basketball camps this summer. From June 9-11, he will hold the Skylight Youth Camp, which is open to grades K-5. From June 22-24, the Skylight Select/Team Camp will be held, which is open to players grades 9-12, and from June 25-28, the Skylight Middle School Camp will be held. That camp is open to grades 6-8. Lights Football Camp
This summer, the Northern Lights football staff and team are offering a day camp for boys entering grades K-8 June 9-11. Campers will develop football skills including passing, catching, punting, kicking, tackling, blocking etc. and will participate in various football games. No equipment will be needed. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. for players grades K-5 and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for players grades 5-8. The cost of the camp is $65. HHS head coach Dustin Kraske is offering three different girls basketball camps this summer. The Havre High Girls Youth Camp will be held June 4-6 and is open to grades 2-5 at a cost of $35 per camper. The Middle School Camp, open to grades 6-8 will be held June 16-19 at a cost of $45 and the North Central Girls Basketball Camp, open to grades 9-12 will also be held June 16-19.
