Patricia L. "Pat" Sather, 85, of Havre, passed away of natural causes on May 31, 2014 at Northern Montana Hospital.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 3 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Havre. Edwards Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
Pat was born on Nov. 23, 1928, in Havre to Peter and Mary (Miller) Larsen. She was raised in Rudyard, graduating from Rudyard High School in 1946. After high school, Pat worked for Ryan Havre and Havre High School. While living in Havre she met Orville Sather, whom she married in October 1952. The couple initially farmed home north of Havre. They moved to Turner in 1963 and to Harlem in 1969. Orville passed away in 1974. After his death Pat went to work for the City of Harlem, Security State Bank in Harlem and Independence Bank in Havre. Pat enjoyed reading and going to garage sales, and her first priority was always her family.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Larsen; her brother, Phillip Larsen; her sisters, Muretta Porter, Carol Patrick, Phyllis Ramberg and Norma Verploegen.
She is survived by her daughters, Vivian (Del) Schmuck of Eureka, Tracy (Mark) Harshman of Chinook, and Linda of Helena; her son Jeff (Barbara) of Harlem; as well as nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Hans Verploegen; sister-in-law, Carol Sather; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that memorials be made in Patricia's name to American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund or the charity of one's choice.
Pat will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
