Paul Tuss was elected to become the chair of the Montana University System Board of Regents at its annual meeting Friday.
The Board of Regents’ meeting was held at Montana State University-Northern’s Student Union Building Ballroom Thursday and Friday.
In addition to listening to presenters and taking action on items such as raising the salaries of many campus’ faculty — including MSU-Northern’s second raise — they named Tuss, a Havre resident, to be the new, full-fledged chair of the board. Tuss has been interim chair since Gov. Steve Bullock named then-chair Angela McLean to be lieutenant governor.
Tuss is the executive director of Bear Paw Development Corp.
