Verna Farnik

Verna Farnik died May 10, 2014.

Mrs. Farnik was born Jan. 22, 1916, on a farm near Coalridge, Montana, to John and Inga Johnson.

During World War II, she worked at the Swan Island Shipyards in Portland, Oregon.

She moved to Havre in 1948 and retired from the Great Northern Railroad. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Havre.

Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; four brothers; five sisters; and one grandson.

Her final years were spent in a retirement home in Spokane, Washington.
