Montana Actors' Theatre is opening a comedy - with some serious undertones - about a person dealing with parents who don't know how to deal with a child.
"Baby with the Bathwater" opens Friday.
Patrick Ulano, who also acts in the production, is directing the play, written by Christopher Durang in 1983.
The production also stars MaryBeth Blankenship as the mother, Merrill Gray as the father and Andi Daniel as the nanny who helps - kind of - the new parents raise their child.
Other cast members are Crysta Robinson, Katie Robinson, Kathy Tilleman and Mindy Smith-Langel.
The sharply satirical comedy, which includes adult language and themes, tells the story of the main character from birth to parenthood - and being raised by parents who seem clueless about their own parenthood.
• The doors and backstage lounge at the Little Theatre in Cowan Hall open at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
• Productions are also scheduled for May 30-31 and June 5-7.
• Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, with Montana State University-Northern students with a valid student identification card gaining free admission to the production.
