Jeremy L. "Gump" Borst, 35, of Havre passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at his residence of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place, and the family has planned a celebration of life gathering at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Pepin Park. Memorials may be made in Jeremy's name to the Autism Research Institute, 4182 Adams Avenue, San Diego, CA 92116, or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Gump was born on March 2, 1979, in Havre, to Jerry and Linda (Vollum) Borst. He was raised in Havre, attending schools there, and graduated from Havre Alternative School in 1998. Over the years, he worked as a cook for many restaurants, and also for Kessel Construction. Gump enjoyed drawing graphic art, hiking in the Bear Paws, fishing, and watching adult cartoons. He was a very loving and giving person, who always looked for something better. He will be forever 35.
Jeremy was preceded in
death by his grandparents, Jim and Lillian Borst and Bud Vollum; his uncles, Dave and James Borst; and his many friends who have gone before him.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Linda Borst of Havre; his sister, Lee Ann (Jeremy) Malley of Havre; his niece, Abby Malley; his nephews, Henry and Sammy Malley of Havre; his grandmother, Betty Vollum of Malta; his numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins, especially his very close cousin Memory; and all of his Fugawi friends.
