MSU-Northern golf teams place sixth in Missoula

The Montana State University-Northern men’s and women’s golf teams wrapped up the Frontier Conference 2013-14 season with the annual Frontier Conference Championships Monday and Tuesday in Missoula.

The Lights and Skylights competed in the final 18 holes of the 54-hole tournament Tuesday at Larchmont Golf Course.

The Northern men finished in sixth place overall with a 1,013 team total. MSU-N senior Just Newton finished inside the Top 15, shooting rounds of 74, 76 and 78 to wind up in 13th place. Northern’s Nate Durocher was the next best finisher, with rounds of 88, 86 and 84 to tie for 31st,...
