7th Avenue car crash sends drivers to hospital

A motor vehicle crash that happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday between two white Ford Tauruses sent both drivers to the hospital.

No report from the Havre Police Department has been released as of this morning. Thus, the names of the drivers and their conditions were not available.

The collision took place on 7th Avenue between 1st and 2nd streets. One vehicle was pulling out of the Gary & Leo's Fresh Foods parking lot when the other vehicle struck it, possibly at a 45-degree angle, on the driver's side.

Officer Kevin Corner, who was on the scene, said ambulances were called to take the drivers to Northern Montana Hospital. Police said they believe one of the drivers may have been pregnant.

Corner said the accident could possibly have been caused by another vehicle parked in the street causing a blind spot for the Taurus pulling out of the parking lot.

Corner said passengers may have been in one of the vehicles. But, they were not taken to the hospital.

The vehicles were towed away and the scene cleaned.

Looks to me that it is in the parking lot and not on the street.

@ Dumb ... How do you expect a business to stay a business if they don't make a profit? In this case the paper is selling subscriptions to read the news stories that paid employees put together. You really are dumb. Photo is excellent by the way.

LOL, no report available? The HDN did pretty good at casting the blame without one, not to mention stating the unconfirmed medical condition of one of the drivers. Wow, let's spread a rumor!

This sign in or subscribe crap to read the article is ridiculous. Why bother posting the story if you can't read it? It's so frustrating. Knock it off already, I definitely won't subscribe if that's how you do business.

Blind spots caused by taller SUV's parked to close to parking lot entrances.
