Jerod Boles, Havre High Tennis

The Havre High boys tennis team is off to a strong start. And so, too, is sophomore singles player Jerod Boles. At Saturday’s Conrad Invitational Duals, Boles went a perfect 3-0 against No. 3 opponents from Conrad, Cut Bank and Lewistown. Boles won his matches by scores of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2. Boles, who is also a standout golfer and basketball player for the Blue Ponies, is in his second year of tennis at Havre High. Last season, Boles played varsity doubles for the Ponies.

Martha Stocker, Havre High Track

Martha Stocker is no stranger to success when it comes to track and field at Havre High. But she wasted little time in getting her senior season off on the right foot. Havre made its season debut at Saturday’s Lewistown Invitational, and Stocker won the shot put with a top throw of 33-61. Stocker, who qualified for the Class A state meet a year ago, also took fifth in discus with a throw of 83-41. Stocker is also a volleyball standout and a member of the HHS Pep Band.
