Alfred "Fred" Wolfgang Hentchel died Mar. 1, 2014, in Spokane, Wash.
The son of Alfred Paul and Ruth Hentschel, Alfred immigrated to the United States in 1952.
Fred graduated from Havre Central High and attended Northern Montana College, served in the U.S. Navy and completed his master's degree in business in Arizona.
Fred met the love of his life, Virginia Gregory, and they were married in 1962 at St. Jude Thaddeus Church in Havre. The family resided in Spokane, Wash.
Surviving are his wife; four children, Carissa, Alan, Ty and Shauna, and seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Ray Hentschel; sister; Inga Goebel; sister, Sylvia Funk, and their families. Private service with VFW honor guard are planned in Spokane.

Freddie was a very nice cousin to have; his sister and I used to watch him do his hair like Elvis; he would shoo us away when he saw us. I remember riding around town with Fred and his siblings in his Ford; he was super cool back in the day - kind of like the Fonz..Will miss him but still have good memories of Fred. Rest in Peace cuz.
