It was a tough debut for the Havre Blue Ponies at the Class A state tournament in Great Falls. Havre lost in its first state tournament game in eight years, falling to Northwest A champion Columbia Falls 50-36 Thursday at the Four Seasons Arena.
Dane Warp scored 15 points and Kade Rismon added nine for the Ponies, who will now play Stevensville on Friday at 12:30 p.m. The Wildcats will play Laurel in Friday night's first semifinal.
