Havre Police Department

Marielle Simonson, 21, of Rudyard was issued a summons on a charge of failure to stop and identify self after striking an unattended vehicle after officers were called Wednesday at 9:16 a.m. to investigate a hit-and-run crash at Montana State University-Northern.

Officers responded to a 9:28 a.m. Wednesday call from Smithville Road about a Playstation 3, two controllers and three games that were stolen.

Officers investigated an 11:06 a.m. Wednesday call from a 9th Avenue business about a refrigerator that was stolen from a hotel room the night prior.

Brandon Cole Velasquez, 18, of Box Elder was arrested on charges of trespassing and criminal contempt after officers responded to a 12:41 p.m. Wednesday call from a 1st Street business about a man who was contained at the front of the store.

Officers investigated a 12:58 p.m. Wednesday call from a 9th Avenue business in which someone said a pickup truck was broken into the night prior and a wallet and change stolen from it.

Moses Lloyd Champagne, 40, of Havre was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after it was served to him at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday.

Nathan Michael Kennelly, 18, of Havre was arrested for undisclosed reasons after officers responded to a 5:39 p.m. Wednesday call from Wilson Avenue.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Gabe Matosich of Havre was issued a summons for dog running at large after deputies responded to an 11:32 a.m. Wednesday call from a U.S. Highway 2 West business about two found dogs.

Lisa Leanna Cole, 41, of Hingham was issued a summons on charges of having a vicious dog and dog registration and vaccination violations after deputies responded to an 11:40 a.m. Wednesday call from Hingham.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Wednesday.

Animal Shelter

A tan and white female mix-breed puppy was placed in the shelter Jan. 27, a brown white and tan male heeler-mix Feb. 25, a black male Lab-mix Feb. 21, a brown, black and white female mix-breed puppy Feb. 23, a black and white male heeler-mix Feb. 28 and a gray male cat Feb. 27.

A boy was born to Tracy Daychild and Na-Tha-At Doney of Havre March 5, 2014.
