Sometimes, a team is just too good. That's been the case for the Fairfield High girls baksketball team for 94 straight games now. The Class B Eagles ran their incredible winning streak to 94 straight by beating the Havre Blue Ponies 63-37 Friday night at the HHS gymnasium. The HHS boys also lost at Fairfield 68-62 Friday night.
On senior night in Havre, it was Fairfield senior Jill Barta who stole the show. She scored 32 points against HHS, while the Eagles raced out to a 17-2 lead after the first quarter. Havre, which can clinch its third straight Central A title Saturday night in Lewistown, got 14 points from Morgan Mazurkiewicz and 11 from Peyton Filius.
The Blue Pony boys will have their senior night Saturday when they host Lewistown.
