Betty T. (Lakey) Zorn, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday (Feb. 3) in St. Paul, Minn.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at United Methodist Church in Chester. Following burial at the Chester Cemetery, a reception will be held at the church. Local arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel in Chester.
Betty was born on July 30, 1942, to Troy and Lucy (Morrison) Lakey, the second of two children. She grew up in Chester and graduated from Chester High School in 1959.
Betty married Gordon H. Zorn in 1962. They raised their 2 sons in Havre, where they ran a printing business. They later moved to Las Vegas, Nev. The Zorns were living in Butte when Gordon passed away in 1998. Betty then moved to Eagle, Idaho. to be closer to her sons & grandchildren. In 2011 she moved to Eagan, Minn. to live with her son, Stacey and family.
Betty was an active and beloved member of Alcoholics Anonymous in Idaho. She enjoyed playing online games and keeping up with friends and family through social media. She loved watching her grandchildren grow and being an active part of their lives.
Betty had a wonderful heart and was loved and admired by many. She easily made friends and lasting relationships in every city she lived.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
She is survived by her children, Russell Zorn of Boise, Idaho, and Stacey (Renee) Zorn of Eagan, Minn.; her brother, Thomas Lakey of Great Falls; and her grandchildren, Nolan (Kerri) Zorn of Meridian, Idaho, Colin Zorn of Eagan, Idaho, and Chelsey Zorn of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
