Brenda Gardipee of Box Elder, the human service division director of the Chippewa Cree Tribe, has been named to the Montana Juvenile Justice council.
Gov. Steve Bullock made the announcement Friday.
The council was established in 1972 to examine existing juvenile legislation and juvenile correctional facilities, and to recommend revisions in the law.
Sonny Obrecht of Turner, a Blaine County rancher, was named by Bullock to serve on the Montana Grass Conservation Commission.
The commission’s purpose is to “conserve, protect, restore, and facilitate the proper utilization of grass, forage, and range resources in the state of Montana,” the commission’s website says.
