Megan Smith, Havre High Swimming

The competition was fierce for the Havre High swim teams this past weekend, but that didn’t seem to bother Blue Pony Megan Smith. Swimming against almost all Class AA competition, Smith had one of her best weekends of the season. She finished an outstanding fourth in 100-yard freestyle in Friday’s dual at GFH and CMR, while also finishing 13th in the 100 breaststroke. Saturday, Smith placed a stellar 12th in the 50 free with a blazing time of 28.20 at the Missoula Invitational. Smith also swims on several successful HHS relay teams.

Keegan Kennelly, Havre High Wrestling

Havre High sophomore grappler Keegan Kennelly is on a roll right now. In fact, Kennelly hasn’t lost a 106-pound match since the Bozeman Invite nearly a month ago. Kennelly was one of five Blue Ponies to go unbeaten at last weekend’s Class A Duals in Lewistown, a tournament the top-ranked Ponies won easily. Since Bozeman, Kennelly also has a Cut Bank Invite title, and he repeated as a champion at the prestigious Rocky Mountain Classic in Missoula. Kennelly is currently the top 106-pounder in Class A and returning state runner up.
