Dane Warp, Havre High Basketball

To say Havre High sophomore Dane Warp has been on fire so far this basketball season would be putting it mildly. And Warp’s hot play continued over two more games this weekend. Friday night, Warp put up 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds, as HHS beat Central A rival Browning 76-50 in Havre. Warp followed that up with 28 points in Saturday’s loss to Rocky Boy. Warp nailed five 3-pointers against the Stars and had three against Browning. At the halfway point in the season, Warp is leading Class A in scoring, averaging 26 points per outing.

Katelyn Neibauer, Chinook Basketball

The Chinook girls basketball team is undefeated on the season and rolling through District 9C play. And while the Sugarbeeters are star-studded, junior Katelyn Neibauer gave them a big boost this past weekend. Neibauer scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a huge 9C win over North Star Friday night, then returned to pour in 16 points in a big road win at previously unbeaten Chester/J-I Saturday night.

Neibauer is in her second season starting for the Beeters and was also a standout on Chinook’s volleyball team this past fall.
