Both the Montana State University-Northern men and women's basketball teams found life on the road very difficult Saturday night at the Carroll P.E. Center in Helena. The No. 15 Skylights dropped just their second Frontier Conference game of the season, falling to the Fighting Saints 66-60. The MSU-N men also struggled mightily in a 56-47 loss to the Saints.
The Northern women, which dropped to 5-2 in the Frontier and 15-4 overall, got a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds from A'Jha Edwards, but it wasn't enough. The MSU-N men were held to a season-low point total, while Corbin Pearson led the way with 14 points and 11 boards. It was Carroll's first conference win of the season.
Both Northern teams will look to bounce back when the University of Great Falls comes to Havre on Friday night.
