Ronald was born on June 26, 1932, in Havre to William and Julia (Baldwin) Daniel. He was raised on the family farm near Laredo, attending school there for a few years until he began attending school in Havre. Ron graduated from Havre High School, and joined the U.S. Army in 1951. He was discharged in 1953, and returned home to attend Northern Montana College for a year before beginning to work at Car Parts. He married Lupe Arriola in 1956, and the couple's union was blessed with six children. In 1959, Ron left Car Parts to work the family farm, which he continued until his retirement in 2010. After retirement, Ron and Lupe traveled to Coeur d'Alene and Seattle to visit family. At home, Ron fed his cats and puttered around the workshop. He was a man of few words, but he enjoyed company. Ron enjoyed a good joke, playing cards, fishing, dancing, and bowling. He loved his coffee club at the elevator, and was a very social man, who loved to watch Havre Blue Ponies' games or listen to them on the radio. His passion was his farm, and he was proud to pass it on to his children. Ron was a devout Catholic who was a member of the Eagles, the St. Jude Booster Club and the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Daniel; his daughter, Maria Daniel; his parents, William and Julia Daniel; his sister, Lorraine Daniel; and his half-brothers, Harold and Shirl Daniel.
