Assumes service Dec. 10
A new service will take over the Essential Air Service flights to and from Havre and other Montana cities and Billings early in December.
Cape Air issued a release saying it will begin offering the flights Dec. 10, taking over from Silver Airways.
The federal Department of Transportation awarded Cape Air the Montana EAS contract earlier this year. Silver Airways announced last spring it was ending its Montana service, but the DOT ordered the company to continue offering the flights until a new airline could begin.
Cape Air will offer two daily round-trip flights between Billings and Havre, as well as from Billings to Glendive, Glasgow and Wolf Point.
Cape Air will make five daily flights between Billings and Sidney.
All seats on the flights will cost $49 each way, which includes all taxes and fees, Cape Air said in the release.
While the flights with Cape Air will not start till Dec. 10, the company said reservations can be made now online at http://capeair.com or by calling 1-800-CAPE-AIR, that is, 1-800-227-3241.
