For the fourth time in the last six weeks, a Montana State University-Northern star has been named Frontier Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Northern senior Joni Nagy was tabbed for the award this week. Nagy, a setter from Chatteroy, Wash., averaged 11.1 assists and four digs per set. She had a conference season high 60 assists in the win over Carroll College Saturday. Nagy recorded a double-double in digs and assists in both matches. Nagy and the Skylights beat Carroll, as well as Montana Tech on Friday night in Butte.
Also nominated was Andrea Christensen of Westminster College, Anna Dewald of Rocky Mountain College, Brea Mitchell of Montana Western, Rebecca Sweeney of Carroll College and Niurka Toribio of Lewis-Clark State.
Southern Oregon junior quarterback Austin Dodge earned Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week in football. Rocky Mountain College defensive back Kyle Mai was the Defensive Player of the Week, and Rocky kicker Ryan Steska was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
