Ann D. Kuhr of Havre, Mont., passed
away on
Sept. 18, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho.
Anndy, as her friends and family knew her, was a magical force full of style and grace, who devoted her life to family, friends and community and made countless dreams come true. She was born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. She met and married the love of her life, Max, at the University of Michigan while in college. When East met West, they formed an unbreakable bond. Carrying her eastern heritage and adventurous spirit with her, she joyfully moved to Montana and lived 60+ years as a proud Montanan, contributing both time and money to furthering the success of many organizations including Montana State University- Northern, The Northern Montana Hospital foundation, The Boys & Girls Club, Episcopal Church and Bear Paw Ski Bowl. She would want to be remembered most as a loving wife, mother, a proud Montanan — having lived life “Her way” — with a great sense of humor, humility, class and a zest and enthusiasm for all life had to offer.
She is survived by her son, Mark Kuhr of Whitefish, Mont., and daughter, Lisa Kuhr of Eagle, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her husband Max. E. Kuhr of Havre, Mont.
Per her request, a small family memorial gathering will be held in her honor.
Memorial donations may be made in Ann Kuhr’s name to PAWS — a Non-Profit, No-Kill Animal Shelter of Chinook Montana, P. O. Box 132, Chinook, MT 59523 http://montanapets.org/paws/
