Cody Lewis Trottier, 24, passed away on Sept. 27, 2013, in Rocky Boy.
He was born to June Denny and the late Robert Trottier on Oct. 29, 1988. He was raised by Darrell (Juggie) and Irene (Makeshine) Denny. At the time of his death, he had been residing at Charlotte Nault’s residence. He considered Charlotte as another mom. Cody attended school in Rocky Boy, graduating from high school in 2007.
He attended the University of Montana and later graduated from Stone Child College in May 2013.
Cody was very friendly and outgoing. He loved football, always watching the University of Miami Hurricanes and the University of Montana Grizzlies. Cody enjoyed singing Native American music, especially powwow and round dance songs. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, always taking his favorite nephew, Harold Denny Jr., showing him all the techniques. He also loved to play folf with his many various friends.
He was preceded in death by his natural father, Robert Trottier; adopted mom, Athena Galbavy; maternal grandparents, Louie and Angela Denny; and paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Christina Trottier.
Surviving are sisters, Sarah (Solomon Stands), Christina (Robert Flamand), Bernida Denny and Rena Denny; brothers, Harold “Woody” Denny, Delwayne Denny, Thomas McCabe, Dale Sebastian and Michael Sebastian; grandmother, Helen Denny of Great Falls.
He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He had numerous good buddies throughout his life. Some of them include Dean Nault; the Oats boys, Jerason, Leison, Jakoya, and Lakota; Otis Decora; Brian Rosette; Josh Golden; Eli Aquino, and Guy Johnson. We are sorry if we have left any of his friends’ names out. He had many, many friends.
Traditional wake services started at 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Traditional funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Traditional burial followed in Rocky Boy Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the people who helped with their prayers. Many thanks to all the people that donated their time to help in the search. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
