It took nearly a month, and being part of a bizarre and rare tie. But the Havre High football team is finally in the win column. On Friday night at the Blue Pony Stadium, HHS shut out Eastern A rival Glendive 33-0, improving to 1-2-1 on the season.
While HHS played a brilliant defensive game, the Pony offense busted loose too. Freshman Parker Filius scored his first career touchdown to put Havre up 7-0, and he added the final score of the night in the fourth stanza. In between, sophomore quarterback Dane Warp threw a TD pass to Thomas Gruber, while Kody Pribyl ran in a score to give HHS a 20-0 lead at the break. Warp added a 15-yard TD run in the third period.
Havre will remain at home, opening up Central A play next Friday night against Livingston.
