C/J-I trumps Centerville

The Chester/J-I football team was one of the many area squads affected by last Friday night's thunderstorms.

But when the Hawks finally did got on the field against the Centerville Miners, everything was just fine.

Monday night, the Hawks (2-0) rolled to a 44-6 win over the Miners in a Northern C clash.

Justin May totaled 117 yards and a touchdown, while Dell Harmon threw for 200 yards, and three scores to Tim Stokes.

C/J-I also got a huge effort from Cody Ramberg, who scored on a 50-yard run in the first quarter, and caught a late touchdown pass from Harmon.

C/J-I took control of the game early, and overall scored 36 unanswered points.

The win pushed the Hawks to 2-0, and the early lead in the Northern C.

The Hawks visit rival Fort Benton on Friday night.
