The Office of Public Instruction is seeking applicants for its K-12 Data Task Force.
The task force, established in Senate Bill 175, will be made up of 27 individuals who will serve in an advisory capacity to the Office of Public Instruction. The task force will review, monitor, and provide input and guidance in enhancing the statewide K-12 data system. The focus of the task force will be to improve the availability of data to classroom teachers.
The task force includes representation from school trustees, school administrators, teachers, district technology staff and parents of elementary and high school students.
OPI is asking for the public's help in promoting the nomination and selection process. They hope to be able to forward a list of names to the legislators who serve on the task force by early September. The legislators will make the appointments to the task force.
