Havre Police Department

Responding to a request for assistance at the police station at 6:12 a.m. Thursday, officers issued a summons to a 13-year-old youth for minor in possession.

After receiving a complaint at 8:52 a.m. Thursday of people living in a rental on 2nd Street West that is supposed to be vacant, Officers made an arrest, but no further details were provided.

Officers investigated a report made Thursday at 12:12 p.m. of plants stolen from a 2nd Street business.

Officers investigated a report made at 1:32 p.m. at a 3rd Avenue location of a generator stolen out of a pickup truck.

During a motor vehicle stop on 3rd Street at 5:23 p.m. Thursday, officers made an arrest, but no further details were provided.

Called to 8th Avenue and 2nd Street at 4:16 p.m. Friday because of a man seen urinating on the sidewalk, officers arrested a 55-year-old Hays man for disorderly conduct.

After a caller at a 1st Street business reported two shoplifters at 4:26 p.m. Friday, officers issued summonses to two 17-year-old girls for for theft by shoplifting.

Officers investigated a noninjury vehicle crash at 5 p.m. Friday at 5th Avenue and 13th Street.

Friday at 5:10 p.m. officers investigated a vehicle crash at a 1st Street business.

Officers were called to the Amtrak station Friday at 5:30 p.m.to investigate a man acting suspiciously on the passenger train.

During a motor vehicle stop on 1st Street at 11:44 p.m. Friday, officers arrested a 21-year-old Havre man on a Justice or City court warrant and a charge of turning when unsafe to do so.

Officers investigated a crash involving a vehicle and a light pole at a 1st Street West business at 1:04 a.m. Saturday.

An officer investigating suspicious activity at 1:26 a.m Saturday on 2nd Street arrested a 23-year-old Box Elder man on a Justice or City court warrant.

Responding to a report of suspicious activity made Saturday at 3:31 a.m. on Washington Avenue, officers issued summonses to a 14-year-old girl, a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, each on a charge of juvenile curfew violations, and issued summonses to two 15-year-old boys each on charges of curfew violations and obstructing a peace officer or other public servant.

Officers investigated a dog bite reported at Northern Montana Hospital Emergency Room Saturday at 11:15 a.m.

After a caller reported a theft at a 1st Street West establishment at 4:02 p.m. Saturday, officers arrested a 32-year-old Box Elder man for theft, all others.

Officers investigated a report made at 12:29 a.m. Sunday of a woman with a probation on 2nd Street Northwest but were unable to locate the person.

During a motor vehicle stop on 13th Avenue Sunday at 2:07 a.m. an officer arrested a 44-year-old Havre woman for driving while intoxicated, failing to carry proof of insurance, first offense, and speeding.

Officers investigated a report made Sunday at 12:17 p.m. of playground equipment at Pepin Park vandalized with pray paint.

Officers investigated a report made Sunday at 3:23 p.m. of a bicycle stolen from a 2nd Street residence.

While investigating a report of six transients loitering on 1st Stree West, officers arrested a 51-year-old Box Elder man on a Justice or City Court warrant.

Officers called to a disturbance with a man beating a woman near Smithville Road at 10:06 p.m Sunday made four arrests, but no further details were provided.

Officers called to a disturbance at a 2nd Street Northeast residence Monday at 3:10 a.m. issued a summons to a 30-year-old Havre man for partner or family member assault.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies served a warrant at Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 4:33 p.m., but no further details were provided.

Deputies serving a warrant at the Great Northern Fairgrounds arrested a 30-year-old Box Elder man on a Justice or City court warrant Friday at 7:52 p.m.

Deputies investigating a drug offense Friday at 10:50 p.m. at the fairgrounds issued summonses a 13-year-old Rocky Boy girl, a 14-year-old Havre boy and a 16-year-old Havre boy, each on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and dangerous drugs.

Friday at 11:17 p.m. a caller reported finding a lost pair or pants and wallet at the spillway in Beaver Creek Park. Deputies investigated the incident.

Deputies serving a warrant at the fairgrounds Saturday at 9:28 p.m arrested a 29-year-old Havre woman on a Justice or City court warrant.

Deputies serving a warrant at the fairgrounds Saturday at 11:40 p.m arrested an 18-year-old Havre man on a Justice or City court warrant.

———

During a motor vehicle stop on Beaver Creek Road at 3:44 p.m. Sunday, a deputy arrested a 32-year-old Havre woman on three Justice or City court warrants.

Monday at 1:02 a.m. the fairgrounds manager reported vandalism to several items. Deputies are investigating.

Havre Police Department

Emergency medical service personnel responded to two calls Thursday, five calls Friday, four calls Saturday and four calls Sunday. Fire crews were called out twice over the weekend. One call was a to investigate a wire short to ensure no spark existed to start a fire. NorthWestern Energy also was called in to inspect the wiring. The call Sunday was in response to a fire alarm at a private residence, and the smoke was caused by cookies forgotten, and burning, in the oven.

Births

A girl was born July 19, 2013, to Kelsie and Kendall Harwood of Havre.

Water main break repaired quickly

A water main break was reported to the Police Department Saturday at 7:41 p.m on the 400 block of 6th avenue, near St. Jude Thaddeus Church. The caller reported a lot of water on the street. Police called Havre Public Works, who fixed the break with a repair band.
