“Billy Joe” William Joseph Larson-Lawrence, 54, a Native American from Great Falls, passed away July 2, 2013, by accidental drowning.
His memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home in Great Falls is handling arrangements.
Billy Joe was born in Fort Belknap June 27, 1959. He was raised in Havre where he was educated. He was a general laborer and a self-taught artist.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Jessica (Jeremy) Lawrence and Rachel Mosley of Great Falls; two step-granddaughters, Daja and Taya; five sisters, Olivia Larson, Patty Ann Larson and Hazel Lawrence, all of Great Falls, Charlene Klemkosky of Arizona, Bobbie Jo (Scott) Wilkins of Havre; three brothers, Arthur (Sue) Lawrence and Gabe (Brandy) Lawrence of Great Falls and Junior Lawrence of Havre; many nieces, nephews; three aunts and one uncle.
He preceded in death by his wife, Michelle (Mosley) Larson; parents, Patricia Champagne and Harry Lawrence; brother, Leonard Champagne; nephew, Ernest LaMere; grandparents; several aunts and uncles.
Billy Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving brother, uncle and grandfather. He was known for giving tattoos to friends and family. He enjoyed the outdoors and his unexpected travels.
