A woman walked into Angie’s Wildflowers in downtown Havre on Friday to order flowers for a friend who had met her goal on losing weights.
“No charge,” said owner Angie Pratt to the surprised woman.
A man had called Pratt Thursday night and said that he would pay for flowers for anyone who bought them up to his donation amount. At 2 p.m. he gave her the credit card number.
He said there was not enough kindness in the world, and people needed to know they were loved.
Some people read about the offer on Facebook, but others walked into the store and were shocked that the flowers were free.
“One woman cried,” said Pratt. Others were amazed.
It didn’t take long before the money was spent.
In all, 25 people got free flowers, including seven who had no idea the man had made the donation.
Pratt said she found out who the man was, but promised not to reveal his name.
“It was really impressive,” she said of the man’s gift.
